Moon Over Buffalo
On your mark, get set, go....and the show is on. Charlotte and George Hay, (Ann Boyajian and Ron Donsbach), are a couple, on stage and off, who run their own touring company and are staging productions, in repertory, of Coward's Private Lives and Rostand's Cyrano de Bergerac. Their stage manager Paul, (Dustin Wheeler) and daughter Rosalind, (Barb Bushue) were once roman-tically involved, but now Rosalind, not wishing to follow in her parent's footsteps, is engaged to Howard (Scott Sapp), the weatherman on a local television station. Enter Eileen, (Amber Cekander), a young, pretty actress who tours with the company. Eileen has some interesting news for George after her visit to the doctor. As the confusion escalates, we meet Richard, (Les Liss), the Hay's lawyer who professes his love for Charlotte. Hilarious misunderstandings pile on the madcap misadventure, all of which are magnified by Charlotte's deaf mother, Ethel, (Rachelle Cekander), who manages the theatre.
It's 1953 and the Hay's have taken their traveling repertory show to Buffalo, NY. Fate has given these thespians one more shot at starring roles in the epic film, The Scarlet Pimpernel, and Director Frank Capra is en route to Buffalo to catch their matinee performance. Will Charlotte appear or run off with Richard? Will George be sober enough to perform? Will Capra see Cyrano or Private Lives?
Welcome to the Erlanger Theatre in Buffalo. The show's about to start I wonder what we are going to see?
