Charley's Aunt
Jack Chesney, in love with Kitty Verdun, and Charles, equally enamoured of Miss Spettigue, invite the girls to their room for lunch in order to meet Charley's wealthy Aunt from Brazil, ("where the nuts come from"). Unfortunately, the Aunt sends word that she will be delayed for a few days. What is to be done? The girls must not be compromised - no, but neither will the boys give up the chance of declaring their love. The problem is solved by forcing another Oxford undergraduate into a disguise. This "frump" is subsequently introduced to everyone as Charley's Aunt, and then the fun begins.

Just ran across the website and it brought back many fond memories of my involvement with F.A.C.E. I am 56 now and Charleys Aunt took place at the Elks Club 28 years ago. That's half my lifetime. My daughter was 4 in 1980 and now she's a schoolteacher in Chicago where I currently reside, my hometown. My years in Effingham were great and I had many good times. I am the Past Commander 81-82 of Post 120 of the American Legion and belonged to the Guard there. My wife worked at John Boos, it seems like yesterday but I know it's been 28 years!
